Something blue, worn where everyone will see it — and no one will guess it was the tradition.

Eighteen tiny flowers arranged across ten pins, and the smallest blooms we make: lavender-inspired, in a soft baby blue, each no more than 5–7 mm across with a bead resting at its centre. Every flower is sculpted by hand from polymer clay, then wire-wrapped onto its pin so it sits exactly where you place it. The blue is gentle rather than bright — closer to sea glass than to cornflower — which is why they belong so naturally at a seaside wedding, and why they read as a detail rather than a statement anywhere else.

Eighteen flowers are enough to carry a whole hairstyle. Drift them through loose waves, gather them into a chignon, or trail them along a braid so the flowers appear to grow through it. Because they're so small, there are no rules: build the look you want and stop when it feels right.

The pins themselves are salon-quality, no-slip and tipped at the ends, so they hold fine hair without tugging and stay comfortable from the first photograph to the last dance.

Styling Suggestions

Scattered through loose waves — the way these were designed to be worn. Set them at uneven heights across one side, denser near the crown and thinning towards the ends, so they look drifted rather than placed.

Low chignon or twisted bun — press most of the pins into the twists of the knot and let three or four stray above it. The strays are what stop it looking arranged.

Half-up styles — a cluster where the hair is gathered, then several trailing into the loose section below.

Braids and plaits — tuck the pins into the widest sections of the braid, following it from crown to tip. Eighteen flowers is generous for a single long braid, so you can build the density up towards the crown and let it thin out towards the ends.

Down the parting — a fine line of tiny flowers following your parting from the hairline back. Unexpected, editorial, and lovely with a simple dress.

Seaside and outdoor weddings — set them a little deeper into the hair than usual so a sea breeze can't lift them, and let the beads sit facing outwards to catch the light off the water.

Across the bridal party — two or three pins each for your bridesmaids, the rest for you. Everyone looks connected; nobody looks matched.

Send us a photo of your hair trial and we'll suggest a placement.

Care instructions

Small things last a long time when they're handled kindly. These will.

  • Apply hairspray before the pins go in, never after — a direct spray dulls the finish and the bead centres.
  • Keep away from heat and open flame.
  • Protect from water — sea spray and light rain won't hurt them; swimming and heavy downpours will.
  • Handle by the pin, not the flower — these are our most delicate blooms, and lifting each by its pin keeps the petals crisp.
  • Never press on the finest petal edges.
  • Store in a box, apart from heavier jewellery, so nothing rests on the petals.
  • Travelling to the venue? Keep them boxed and pack them last.
