Flowers gathered to one side, so the piece frames the hairstyle instead of competing with it.

Each hydrangea head is shaped by hand from soft foam, then placed along one half of the band — a composition rather than an even line. The asymmetry is the point: it reads as something tucked in rather than something put on, which is why it suits a mother of the bride who wants to be photographed beautifully but not costumed.

The base is a slim 3 mm band wrapped in silk ribbon. Three millimetres is deliberate — wider bands press behind the ears by the evening, and nobody wants to be adjusting their hair during the speeches. With foam blooms this light, you stop noticing it within the hour.

This is the quieter member of the ivory hydrangea collection. Same flower, same tone, less of it — which is exactly what you want when the bride is wearing the full crown and the rest of the party needs to echo her, not match her.

The details

  • One headband
  • Blooms arranged to one side, asymmetric composition
  • Base: 3 mm band wrapped in ivory silk ribbon
  • Hydrangea heads formed from foam
  • Light ivory tone, suited to both light and dark hair
  • Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear
  • Made by hand in our London studio
  • Ready to post in 3 days
  • Three or more: 13-15% off at checkout

The same ivory hydrangea runs through the collection. The hydrangea and pearl earrings work with it at any volume, the 9 cm hair comb sits inside an updo, and the full-length headband is the bride's version of this piece.

Key Features
  • The piece that lets everyone else be in the photographs — same flower as the bride's, visibly less of it. Connected, not matched, and no accidental competition in the group shots.
  • Asymmetric by design — flowers to one side read as tucked in rather than worn on top. This is the difference between elegant and dressed-up, and it is why it suits mothers of the bride.
  • A 3 mm band, deliberately — fine enough to disappear into the hair and comfortable through the speeches, the dinner and the dancing.
  • Silk, not plastic, against your head — the base is wrapped in silk ribbon rather than left bare.
  • Feather-light — foam blooms mean you forget it is there within the hour.
  • Holds in thick and curly hair — it grips without pins and stays where your stylist puts it.
  • Luminous against dark hair — if you have been told floral pieces vanish on brunettes, this one does the opposite.
  • Not only for weddings — engagement shoots, christenings, garden parties, race days.
  • Handmade in London — shaped, assembled and packed by hand in our own studio.
Styling Suggestions

For the mother of the bride
Worn low at one side with a soft chignon or a sleek bob. It gives you something in the photographs without putting you in a hat, which is the problem most mothers of the bride are actually trying to solve.

For bridesmaids, as a group
All worn on the same side, so the group reads as deliberate in the photographs rather than as several people who each chose something. Three or more qualifies for the discount.

With loose waves
Place the flowers just behind the ear on the side you part towards, and leave the other side clear. Clean on one side, full on the other.

With a half-up style
Set the band so the flowers sit above where the hair is secured. It covers the mechanics of the style and gives the side profile something to look at.

Alongside the bride
If the bride is wearing the full hydrangea crown, this is the piece that echoes it at a lower volume. Same hands, same ivory, no risk of two people arriving in the same headpiece.

Beyond the wedding
Worn with a plain dress at a christening or a summer party, it stops reading as bridal entirely.

Care instructions

These flowers won't wilt and won't fade. A little care keeps the ivory exactly as it arrived.

  • Hairspray before the band goes on, never after.
  • Hold the band by the silk base rather than by the petals when putting it on.
  • A splash or a few tears will not mark it — blot gently with a soft dry cloth.
  • Keep it away from fire, heat and hot styling tools.
  • Keep it dry beyond the occasional splash: shelter from heavy rain, and take it off before swimming.
  • Store it in its Deco Flowers box between wears, and avoid crushing it under anything heavy.
