A gathered posy of ivory blooms, slipped into an updo and left to look as though it grew there.

Every element is made separately before anything is assembled. The hydrangea heads are formed from foam, which is why an arrangement this size stays weightless against the head. The miniature roses are sculpted from polymer clay, petal by petal. Pearls are set between them, catching the light where the flowers overlap.

The arrangement runs to 9 cm — substantial enough to anchor the back of an updo on its own, without needing pins scattered around it to look finished. That is the reason for the size: one piece doing the work of several, placed once by your stylist and then forgotten about.

The ivory tone was chosen to sit against both light and dark hair without washing out or standing apart from the dress.

The details

  • One hair comb
  • Flower arrangement: 9 cm across
  • Metal comb base: 8 cm, silver
  • Hydrangea heads formed from foam
  • Miniature roses sculpted from polymer clay
  • Set with pearls
  • Light ivory tone, suited to both light and dark hair
  • Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear
  • Made by hand in our London studio
  • Ready to dispatch in 3 working days

A piece that won't wilt, kept in its box long after the day itself.

The same ivory hydrangea and pearls run through two other pieces. The hydrangea and pearl earrings carry the front of the look while the comb takes the back. The headband and earring set arrives already matched, for brides who would rather wear the flowers across the crown than inside the updo.
Key Features
  • One piece instead of a scattering — at 9 cm the arrangement finishes the back of an updo on its own, where smaller pieces need three or four of them to read at all.
  • Built flower by flower — every hydrangea head and every miniature rose is made individually before assembly, which is what the size and the price account for.
  • Weightless against the head — foam blooms mean a full arrangement you stop noticing within the hour.
  • Two materials, each doing its job — foam for the hydrangeas, so they stay soft and light; polymer clay for the roses, so the small petals hold their shape.
  • Ivory that works on any hair colour — chosen to read clearly against blonde and dark hair alike.
  • Secure silver comb base — an 8 cm metal comb holds in thick and fine hair, and sits flat enough to disappear under the flowers.
  • Won't wilt — the same on your fifth anniversary as on the morning it arrived.
  • Not only for the bride — it suits bridesmaids, flower girls and a summer outfit that has nothing to do with a wedding.
  • A keepsake — made to be kept, not worn once.
  • Handmade in London — made in a studio, by hand, start to finish.
Styling Suggestions

At the back of a low chignon
Slide the comb in just above the bun, teeth pointing down, so the flowers sit over the join. This is the placement the 9 cm size was designed around.

To one side of an updo
Set it at an angle behind one ear rather than centrally. Asymmetry keeps a large piece from looking formal and makes it read as a posy rather than a headpiece.

With a half-up style
Place it where the twist is secured. It covers the mechanics of the hairstyle and gives the back of your head something to be photographed.

Beneath a veil
Fit the veil first, then the comb below it, so the comb can be taken out at the reception without disturbing your hair. Fine tulle only — a beaded edge will catch on the petals.

For bridesmaids and flower girls
The same comb across the group reads as a set in photographs, whatever their hairstyles. Message us before ordering if you need several and we'll plan the timings together.

Care instructions

These blooms won't wilt, and a little care keeps the ivory exactly as it arrived.

  • Hairspray before the comb goes in, never after.
  • Hold the comb by its silver base as it slides in, and avoid pressing on the petals.
  • Keep it away from fire, heat and hot styling tools.
  • Keep it dry: shelter it from heavy rain and take it off before swimming.
  • Remove it by sliding it out along the hair rather than lifting it away.
  • Store it in its own box, away from heavier jewellery.
  • Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth if it needs it.
