• Keep it away from moisture, steam and direct sunlight, which can soften the stiffened silk and fade its colour.
• Apply hairspray before the bow goes in, never after. Spray can mark silk crepe and dull the beads.
• Handle it by the attachment rather than the loops, so the drape stays crisp.
• If it needs cleaning, spot-clean very gently with a barely damp cloth; never soak or machine wash it.
• Avoid perfume and oils near the bow; put them on before you put the bow in.
• If a loop is lightly pressed in storage, ease it back into shape with your fingertips.
